Voice APIs
Use Seamly’s Voice APIs to connect your bot or platform to the telephone. You control the conversation, while Seamly handles the voice connection, speech recognition, and speech synthesis. You can also retrieve data about ongoing voice conversations and preview speech output.
Connect your bot or platform to the telephone
Use the Voice API to connect your bot or platform to Seamly’s voice channels.
You implement the endpoints defined in the Voice API specification. When a call arrives, Seamly requests conversation settings from your API, then connects to your WebSocket endpoint to exchange messages.
Retrieve information from a voice conversation
Use the Context API to retrieve data about an ongoing voice conversation.
Set an
external_lookup_id
within the conversation, then use that ID to retrieve its context. Only fields configured for access are returned, and the conversation must still be running.
The Context API is not supported for conversations using the Voice API.
Preview various voices
Use the TTS API to hear how a prompt sounds before using it in your voice bot. The API returns the generated speech as a WAV audio file.
This API is intended for testing speech output. Input is limited to 1,000 characters per request, with a rate limit of 60 requests per minute.
Before you start
Review the requirements of your chosen API and ask your Seamly contact to arrange access. Credentials, authentication, and configuration differ between APIs.
